Problem: Unstable Jax Port Authority Bridges

Foundation Professionals of Florida had the pleasure of working with the Jax Port Authority (https://www.jaxport.com/) on a bridge project. The Jax Port Authority is located in Northeast Florida and is a hub for the South Atlantic cruise and shipping industries. The port owns and maintains three cargo terminals and a cruise terminal as well as an inter-modal rail terminal. The port is located along the St. Johns River.

Solution: Polyurethane Grout to Stabilize Soil and Seal Cracks

Foundation Professionals of Florida were called to work on the Carnival Cruise ship terminal bridge. There were several leads and a need to stabilize the solid behind the bulkhead retaining walls of the bridge. We were able to inject polyurethane grout. This was a two-part structural grout. In the pictures below you can see our team working to seal cracks in the bridge and stabilize the soil with grout. We then ran an inspection on the injection results.
