Concrete Leveling and Lifting
Sunken concrete sidewalks, pool decks, driveways, and more, used to be repaired either by digging up and replacing the slab, or via a technique called ‘’mudjacking’’. Neither one was the ideal solution though.
Tearing up the old slab and replacing it with a new one takes time. It’s not a quick fix. Freshly poured concrete needs time to dry and harden. While you’re waiting for that to happen, you can’t use your new sidewalk (or driveway, pool deck, etc.) Also, if the soil under your old slab wasn’t strong enough to support it, it’s not going to support the new slab either, which will eventually start to sink as well.
Polyurethane foam injection is a minimally-invasive procedure that involves injecting an ultra-lightweight and rapidly-expanding foam under the slab in order to lift it back up. From start to finish the procedure usually takes no more than 2-3 hours, and as soon as it’s complete, you can begin using the slab again.
